that would be most excellent, graham, although i can't help thinking i
should do something for you in return. linux may be free and we may be
free, but your help isn't cheap to me.

let me know if you need any help, especially with writing stuff. i
need to work up a portfolio.

those cds sound good. i was actually thinking back to 2000, using red
hat for the first time in astronomy lab, and i thought, "hey, maybe i
could find something from back in the day when the k6 400 was actually
state of the art!"

maybe i will. and maybe, or maybe not, that'll make a difference.

we could give it a chance. i sure think slackware is my distro of
choice, at least until i learn to configure stuff more intimately...
which slackware forces me to do.

thanks graham. i'll see you at the next meeting or did you want to
arrange something sooner?
