Parksville, BC company seeks a skilled Linux systems administrator for
full time position. Primarily the individual selected will be
responsible for maintaining, optimizing and improving the redundancy of
a multitude of MySQL databases that handle thousands of queries per
second.

Applicant should be familiar with such concepts as database
normalization, foreign keys, indexes, replication, transactions and ACID
compliance.

We hate bureaucracy and appreciate employees who are
creative and inspired to find new and better ways of doing things. The
position will also be flexible in terms of the type of work and tasks
delegated in order to avoid role fatigue and to bring fresh ideas across
all of the systems.

A strong background in multiple programming languages, hardware 
experience and a strong knowledge of networking and
Linux applications will be considered an advantage.

Salary range is 60k-65k annually. Comprehensive medical and dental plan 
included.
