Kari would it be possible to show us how to accomplish this under Linux
at Thursday's night meet??

If not, although I have re-installed Ubuntu 7.04 to a different
partition, I can 
still bring my computer over for some sleuthing on why a complete
upgrade, from 6.10 to 7.04 fails to boot. So far I haven't had any
success
in booting Linux after a complete upgrade.
