I did have the include file updated for the meeting this month. The only
problem was the include file was not being included.
It would be best if we could cancel the meeting for this month. The next
scheduled meeting will be the 19th of Jan 2009.
During the weekend I had the pleasure of doing some work for Gloria and Jim.
Gloria indicated that she would be willing to bring their PS3 into a meeting
night so see how Yellow Dog Linux can be used on the play station. I just
need to get a monitor that the PS3 can plug into. :-)

The meetings have been rather small lately. I would normally go
(probably with Andre) but tonight doesn't work well for me. Perhaps
there are others who would attend.
On a different note... what interests do we have regarding Linux? In
other words what topics should we explore in the future? I personally
use Linux for video. Primarily I digitize movies from cable, strip the
commercials, add a menu and turn the result into a DVD. That's about
'destop' as you can get. I know others are more interested in networks
and systems. Are there areas that might make for interesting topics? eg.
The CLI and useful commands
Favourite applications
New distributions (Ubuntu 8.10 / OpenSUSE 11.1)
Simple programming
Scripting
MC and derivatives
Differences between Window$ and Linux
KDE vs. Gnome
Home networking with Win and Linux machines
A closer look at GRUB
File Systems
Backups
Those are some suggestions. Maybe they have been covered before?
Anyway anyone else have an idea or two? I know the experience level
with attendees is broad so maybe even fairly basic discussions may spark
some interest.
All the best
(One of the other) Peter(s)
