Hello, Roberto. Greetings from the Nanaimo LUG to Italy.
Yes, Linux IS used here, but unfortunately many of our citizens have gone over
to the dark side and are enslaved by proprietary software. Fortunately, I'm
not one of them, and use openSUSE 11.0 on the five computers I'm responsible
for, including the desktop at work.
Weather here is quite moderate, and doesn't usually go much below 0 Deg C in
the winter, although occasionally it gets colder for a few weeks. We don't
normally get snow that lasts more than a day or two on the ground, but there
are exceptions, like 1996 when we got more than a metre.
There isn't a lot of traffic here, mostly notices of meetings and so on.
You can also try the Cowichan Valley LUG to the south of us, who have a fairly
active listserve at http://www.cowlug.org/
