[Discuss] service, R-U Computing, and kari

the situation hs been taken care of (for now). the 'raptors were returned,
and good thing the lady at the front desk recognized us as a long-time
customer. there is some hope that i will return there, because she chose not
to place the 15% re-stocking fee against us (although, of course, shipping
was still deducted).

she was, of course, entitled to such a fee, but it was nice that she
overlooked it, even if i never want to deal with at least one of the
technicians there.

the Promise Smartstor and two 500 GB hds have been ordered, and the total
comes to less than the cost of two velociraptors, locally, even with
shipping.

if anyone in the LUG knows of a good place that offers quality products AND
service, please let me know.

cheers,

tim
