I was getting that also.

Go into the settings and change the settings for the cd rom drive.

I installed Virtualbox in OpenSUSE 11.1 and also Ubuntu 8.10. I kept
getting an error message, "FATAL: No bootable media found; system
halted", when attempting to install Windows ME.

The problem ended up being the fact that the version of WinME that I was
trying to boot was an upgrade and not bootable on its own. The CD
'auto-runs' but is not bootable. An earlier version of windows or a
floppy is required. Trying to boot the WinME start floppy works but it
does not show the modern CD drive.

Installing other OS's seems to work.

I also tried VMware, which is more or less a 1 click install in Suse
11.1, but it reported that I didn't have a good enough processor. It
seems that an E2200 isn't enough.

We talked about this at the last meeting, so I thought I would pass
along my findings.
